On February 27th, 1970, the USS Richard S. Edwards was decommissioned. After eleven years of service the ship was to be re-fitted for ASW (Anti-Submarine Warfare). This required placing her in Dry Dock in Long Beach California for major reconstruction. This booklet was issued to commemorate her decommissioning. Thanks to Lt.
