Lieutenant Jeffrey L. Flood was born in Bay City, Michigan. He received his Commission in 1971 through the United States Merchant Marine Academy.
     He served as Communications Officer and Damage Control Assistant on the USS ALAMO (LSD-33), and as Executive Officer onboard USS MOLALA (ATF-l06).
     In 1976 he was assigned to the Surface Warfare officer's School in Newport, Rhode Island. Upon graduation in 1977 he reported for duty as Weapons Officer onboard USS RICHARD S. EDWARDS (DD-950).
